Park Hyung Sik, Park Bo Young reunite after 6 years

After six years, the cast of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon has reunited for the spin-off on television.

An offshoot of the celebrated drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Strong Girl Namsoon is a comedy about three generations of women endowed with incredible strength as they look into drug-related crimes in the Gangnam neighborhood.

Stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young themselves fueled excitement among fans by sharing a couple of photos on their respective Instagram accounts. The images showcased the pair donning matching blue outfits, with Park Bo Young in a blue sweatshirt and Park Hyung Sik sporting a blue jacket over a white shirt.

Park Hyung Sik captioned the photos with a nod to their iconic characters, writing, “Bongbong and Minmin appeared in Hemchon Girl Gangnam Soon today.”

According to a recent Nielsen Korea report, the cameo role helped this series achieve a noteworthy milestone: Its third episode had an all-time high audience rate of 8.0 percent.

Actress Lee Yoo Mi plays Gang Nam Soon, the eccentric and vivacious second cousin of Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), who flies from Mongolia to find her parents. Kim Jung Eun portrays Hwang Geum Joo, a wealthy businesswoman in Gangnam with a strong sense of justice, as Gang Nam Soon’s mother. Last but not least, Kim Hae Sook plays Gil Joong Gan, Gang Nam Soon’s maternal grandmother and a local legend in Majang.
