Kathryn Bernardo herself confirmed on Instagram late Thursday afternoon that she and long-time BF Daniel Padilla are over. “Deej and I have decided to part ways,” she wrote. “Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward.”
“I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for your understanding,” she added.
So it’s true after all. But what’s not true is that Andrea Brillantes caused the separation. An unimpeachable source exonerated Blythe (Brillantes’ nickname) as the culprit behind the controversial breakup. It was caused by a non-showbiz girl, according to the source. Brillantes was just collateral damage.
Minutes after Bernardo’s post, Padilla uploaded his own reaction on IG: “Thank you for dancing with me during my highs and thank you for singing with me during my lows,” he wrote.
He also thanked their fans: “Kathniels, maraming salamat sa pagmamahal ninyo, maraming salamat sa napakagandang pinagsamahan natin (Thank you for your love, thank you for our great time together).”
‘Real-life Disney princess’
For Fil-Am Hollywood actor Paolo Montalban, KC Concepcion, his leading lady in Asian Persuasion, is a Disney princess.
“I’ve said it before. KC is a real-life Disney princess. She has a kind heart. She’s beautiful. She’s a consummate professional. She comes so prepared. She’s very, very generous,” said Montalban in an exclusive interview during Ayala Malls’ exclusive press conference and screening of the Hollywood indie film Asian Persuasion at Cinema 3 of Greenbelt 3.
The event was graced by other cast members Dante Basco, Kevin Kreider and Geneva Carr and director Jhett Tolentino.
Montalban learned about KC because he guested in her mom Sharon Cuneta’s show way, way back.
“I’d seen KC in movies and in her appearances so it’s really, really cool to be able to finally work with her,” he said.
“It’s a really impressive career that she’s had. She’s an incredible actress,” he added.
His first impression of her?
“She’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s stunning and stylish, kind, very sweet. That’s pretty much my first impression (of her),” he said.

‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ a top-rater
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s primetime Kapamilya drama, Can’t Buy Me Love, is one of the top-rating shows as shown in the latest survey conducted by Nielsen Philippines.
