Fall Out Boy back in manila after 10 years

Attention, Youngbloods (Fall out Boy’s fandom name)! This will be your highlight for the last month of 2023.

The Grammy-award-winning American rock band Fall Out Boy is set to return for a one-night concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on 9 December.

“Manila! Comin’ through on December 9th at Smart Araneta to play our first show in the Philippines since 2013,” Fall Out Boy’s official social media account wrote, “We might have oneeee more show in SE Asia up our sleeve!”

A day before the concert announcement, Fall Out Boy replied to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), who requested to bring their So Much For (2our) Dust tour to the Philippines.

“We hear ya loud and clear,” the band replied.

Fall Out Boy rose to prominence during the hardcore emo scene in the mid-2000s, most recognizable for their soulful pop-rock sound and classic hits, “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up),” “Centuries” and more.

The band has also released eight studio albums during their career. Their eighth studio album, So Much (For) Stardust, was the quartet’s first album in five years.

This is also the band’s fourth time holding a concert for Filipino Youngbloods. The first was way back in 2007, the second one in 2009 and the third concert was held 10 years ago on 8 August 2013.

Pre-sale will begin on 23 September, from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., while the general ticket selling will be on 24 September at 12 p.m.
