Cornerstone Entertainment, the talent agency that oversees the careers of Catriona Gray and Sam Milby, confirmed the couple’s relationship status amid the breakup rumors.

On 28 February, the agency released a statement addressing the rumors. It stated that the 2018 Miss Universe titlist and the singer-actor are “currently facing some challenges” in their relationship.

“While it is true that Sam and Catriona are currently facing some challenges in their relationship, they are actively working on resolving these issues together,” the statement read.

“We kindly request that everyone respects their privacy during this time as they navigate through this situation. We appreciate the concern and well wishes from all those who have shown support for the couple,” it added.

Rumors about the long-term couple going on separate ways emerged on social media when netizens noticed that the beauty queen was no longer wearing her engagement ring.

Gray and Milby confirmed their relationship to the public in 2020 after being romantically linked to each other in 2019.

In February 2023, the couple revealed their engagement on Instagram.

“Our best chapter yet,” Gray captioned in her Instagram post. “Living in an answered prayer with my best friend. I love you, fiancè.”

The couple also revealed in a previous interview that they enjoyed planning their wedding. In November 2023, while Milby was promoting his Netflix series, Replacing Chef Chico, he expressed excitement over what could’ve been his intimate wedding with Gray.

“I’m turning 40 next year… We’re both so excited to start a family, but it’s enjoying the marriage first,” he replied when asked about building a family with his ladylove after their supposed wedding.
