The ‘eyecon’ all set for post-pandemic world

After filling the venue to the rafters with beyond-thrilling sporting events and performances from world-class talents and international superstars in the last 11 years, SM Mall of Asia Arena is ready to present some unforgettable events in the last half of 2023.

From the vision of its late founder, Henry Sy, Sr. that was noted during the grand opening of the facility in 2012, “The Mall of Asia Arena (MoA) is a celebration of the achievements and glory of world-class Filipino talent.”

Nestled within the bustling SM MoA complex, the 64,000 plus-square meters, five-story landmark is a multi-purpose venue that can accommodate 15,000, with a full-house capacity of 20,000.

In the last 11 years, the ‘eye-conic’ venue has been true to its commitment to changing the game experience and elevating the quality of entertainment.

During the pandemic, SM MoA Arena was the largest national Covid-19 swab testing area, in partnership with the Red Cross Philippines.

Now that the pandemic has been declared over by the World Health Organization, people may once more converge in the venue that had seen the likes of NBA legends Lebron James, Steph Curry, and Dennis Rodman; Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Sarah Geronimo, Arnel Pineda and Lea Salonga; and Lady, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Madonna, Sam Smith and Harry Styles.

Volleyball fans are once again united as the 2023 Men’s Pool of the Volleyball Nations League takes place from 4 to 9 July.

Basketball lovers will witness the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) Basketball World Cup 2023 preliminaries and finals games from 25 August  to 10 September.

To usher in the Christmas holidays, Disney on Ice comes back to celebrate 100 years of Disney. A schedule of shows will be posted soon, along with the ticket price announcement for December 2023 to January 2024.
