Subic garden of lights

ACEA Subic Beach Resort recently kicked off its first-ever Tree Lighting Ceremony with the theme “Christmas Garden of Lights.”

Beyond the flora and fauna that one finds in the resort, ACEA boasts a 28-ft tall giant Christmas tree inspired by the beauty of a peacock’s colorful feathers, particularly that of ACEA’s in-house peacock friends, Ace and Cea. This is the biggest and is said to be the most beautiful giant Christmas tree across the hotel properties yet. This year’s theme is for everyone across the globe to be reminded of the familiar warmth of love, peace and kindness toward one another.

Guests can marvel at the play of tones at the Hue Garden located at Sunset and Sunrise Garden featuring the vibrant floral lights around them. Kids can also enjoy snaps and stories at the Santa Corner located at the Clubhouse.

Relish a holiday gastronomic adventure at Salt Bar+Restaurant, View Cafe, View Cafe Truck and The Sunset Bar by Salt. Also, delight in the glee and gladness of the Christmas Village museum at the main restaurant and freshly made Bibingka and Puto Bumbong at Bahay Kubo.

The tree lighting ceremony was attended by SBMA chairman and administrator represented by its board directors Allan Troy Baquir, Tomas Lahom, Raul Marcelo, Amable Bancod Tolentino, Jose Mari Ponce, Kenneth Memuel Rementilla, Maria Cecilia Bobadilla-Bitare and director Edelberto Moz.

Senior deputy administrator Ramon Agregado and SBMA Tourism department headed by Jamelle Camba also graced the event alongside the Bureau of Customs Port Collector Ciriaco Ugay and Bureau of Internal Revenue Subic RDO Gerlo Cacatian.

During the ceremony, operations manager Butch Sacay made a special acknowledgment of SBMA Tourism’s effort in boosting the industry through relevant and impactful campaigns. He also noted ACEA Subic Beach Resort’s steadfast commitment to making Subic a prime spot for tourism.

One of the notable milestones that the resort is proud of is the launch of “Beyond Business: Hybrid PHITEX 2021” at ACEA where the Philippine Travel Exchange, or PHITEX, chose ACEA to host the first-ever hybrid travel trade event among other properties in the Philippines.
