Dear Heart, Sharon Cuneta’s reunion concert with her ex-husband and former love team partner Gabby Concepcion was a rousing success when it was staged on 27 October at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City and, a few weeks later, at NUSTAR Convention Center in Cebu City.

Small wonder that there had been talks of a sequel in the works. However, Sharon has this to say on the matter: “The next concert was supposed to be called ‘P. S. I Love You.’” The title is from the love team’s second movie together, released in 1981.

“Sorry, let’s be honest,” she said, talking to her handlers. “The repertoire was supposed to be much better than Dear Heart. It was a beautiful show, kasado na (everything’s set). Everyone was ready. Apparently, negotiations didn’t go through. Let’s just say, hindi s’ya natuloy (it didn’t push through) not because of us.

“I was so excited and ready to do it. So, sayang (such a pity). Nanghihinayang ako (I feel sorry for it). I made many of our fans happy. I wanted to continue making them happy. So, I guess, that’s it. Not my fault.”
