Paul Salas, Mikee Quintos file estafa case against crypto group

Showbiz sweethearts Paul Salas and Mikee Quintos filed a syndicated estafa case against a cryptocurrency group before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, 2 October.

They filed a complaint against four individuals for alleged violation of Presidential Decree No. 1699 or Syndicated Estafa in relation to Articles 315 and 316 of the Revised Penal Code after they were deceived out of P8 million.

According to a report on GMA’s “24 Oras”, the group enticed Salas and Quintos to invest in two investment schemes. One involved a monthly compounding at 5 percent interest and the other was a short-term deal with a two-week holding period.

However, the investment schemes did not materialize. Their investments were not returned, as promised, according to Quintos.

“We gave them a chance to rectify the situation, but nothing happened,” the actress said.
