New K-dramas  to binge-watch this September

As we welcome the “ber” months, here are five captivating new Korean dramas to add to your watch list.

‘A Time Called You’

Prepare your tissues and favorite snacks as you watch the romantic-fantasy drama A Time Called You, based on the Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day.

Jeon Yeo-been and Ahn Hyo-seop will make viewers swoon and cry simultaneously in this series that premieres exclusively on Netflix on 8 September.

 

‘Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword
of Aramun’

The fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles returns for a second season.

Although Song Joong-ki and Kim Ji-won won’t return for the new season, the intense ensemble featuring Lee Joon-gi, Shin Se-kyung, Kim Ok-bin, Jang Dong-gun and more will surely keep viewers glued to their seats.

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 is set to drop on Netflix on 9 September.

 

‘Song of the Bandits’

Set during the Japanese occupation, this nine-episode series about fearless bandits who will do everything for their homeland stars Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Kim Nam-gil and Yoo Jae-Myung.

The historical drama will be available to stream on Netflix on 22 September.

 

‘Twinkling Watermelon’

If time travel and music are two of your favorite themes to see on television, then Twinkling Watermelon is for you.

In the series, Baeksang-nominated actor Choi Hyun Wook will form a band called Watermelon Sugar with 18 Again’s Ryeoun, Business Proposal’s Seol in-ah and Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol’s Shin Eun-soo.

The Korean drama will be available on Viki by 25 September.

‘The Worst of Evil’

Wi Ha-jun and Ji Chang-wook, two of the hottest K-actors endorsing the Filipino clothing brand Bench, will play the perfect duo in The Worst Of Evil.

Set in the 1990s, the comedy action series plays on nostalgia while also providing an adrenaline rush. It premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on 27 September.
