After starring in two successful movies in 2022 — Greed and Deleter — that earned her her second FAMAS Best Actress award and her first MMFF Best Actress award, respectively, Nadine Lustre showing off more of her acting prowess in the new thriller series Roadkiller.
The actress is dark and mysterious in the 43-second trailer released by Prime Video on 13 November, her character seemingly involved in a crime and running away from something.
Roadkillers is directed by Rae Red, the critically acclaimed screenwriter behind Birdshot (2016), Neomanila (2017), Eerie (2018) and The Woman and the Gun (2019).
Red’s first solo directorial feature, The Woman and the Gun, bagged multiple awards at the 2020 Gawad Urian Awards, including Best Actress (Janine Gutierrez), Best Director, Best Film, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
This is the first time for Lustre to star in a Prime Video web series. Her last TV series was in 2016 with Till I Met You. She has also reteamed with Mikhail Red and Rae Red for the upcoming folk-horror film Nokturno.
The 30-year-old actress will be joined by Jerome Ponce, Francis Magundayao and Bodjie Pascua in Roadkillers, which is set to stream exclusively on Prime Videos on 30 November.
