‘LOST IN THE STARS’: EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT THRILLS AT SM CINEMAS BEGINNING 27 SEPTEMBER

Zhu Yilong, best known for his role in Lighting Up the Stars for which he bagged a Best Actor trophy at the 35th Golden Rooster Awards, gives another outstanding performance in his latest crime thriller Lost in the Stars, opening 27 September exclusively at SM Cinemas.

Directed by Rui Cui and Xiang Liu and written by Sicheng Chen and Shuyi Gu, Lost in the Stars brings to the global limelight equally impressive acting performances by Ni Ni, Janice Man, Kay Huang and Jiang Du alongside Zhu.

Described as Hitchcockian by some critics, the mystery crime thriller centers on He Fei (Zhu Yilong), a diver instructor whose time is running out trying to solve his wife’s disappearance during their first wedding anniversary in a foreign land. The local police refuse to help due to lack of evidence. But before his visa expires, Fei wakes up one day with a woman beside him claiming to be his wife. Determined to find his wife before his visa expires, Fei gives up on the authorities and approaches a renowned lawyer named Chen Mai. They soon uncover a series of suspected abductions within the island but as things begin to unravel, they find themselves in danger of trying to find out the truth.

The film has so far scored a 92-percent audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, hailed for delivering a superb roller-coaster murder mystery that keeps the audience guessing and gasping until the end.

Lost in the Stars, from Encore Films, is distributed by Warner Bros.
