Katrina Halili is mourning the passing of her boyfriend, Jeremy Guiab, on Sunday, 28 January. 

Guiab, 53, was the former vice mayor of Wao, Lanao Del Sur, serving the town from 1997 to 2000.

According to reports, Guiab had a heart attack while in Halili’s house in New Manila, Quezon City.

Halili immediately rushed Guiab to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, where he was declared dead on arrival.

In an Instagram post, Halili expressed her deep sorrow over the passing of her partner.

“Ang daya mo love, sabi mo aalagaan mo kami ni katie… Bakit iniwan mo kami,” wrote the distraught actress.

Katie is the daughter of Halili with singer-songwriter Kris Lawrence. The two are in a co-parenting setup for Katie.

Actresses Camille Prats, Carla Abellana, Kris Bernal, Aiko Melendez, Jackie Lou Blanco and other showbiz friends sent their condolences to the actress.

Quezon City Councilor Don De Leon also mourned the passing of his best friend Guiab on Instagram. “A precious life gone too soon,” he said.
