Jomari Yllana and Abby Viduya, once teen sweethearts, finally marry in Vegas

Jomari Yllana and Abby Viduya finally tied the knot via a civil wedding in Las Vegas on 5 November.

The ceremony, held in A Little White Chapel in Nevada, was attended by Jomari’s son Andre and some of the couple’s close friends.

Viduya shared a few snaps of their intimate wedding on Instagram. She wore a satin off-shoulder gown while Yllana donned a black suit. They were also seen flaunting their wedding rings aboard a Rolls Royce.

“Viduya-Yllana Nuptial 11/5/23,” Viduya simply wrote in the caption.

The couple will hold a church wedding at Peñafrancia Church in Naga City some time in 2024 or early 2025.

Jomari formally asked for Viduya’s hand on 26 February. He proposed on 20 August while on a Hong Kong trip.

But before getting to that point, the newlyweds had to go through a near-lifetime of divergent journeys.

Yllana was first married to
actress-turned-politician Aiko Melendez in 2000. They got separated after a year. Their marriage was annulled in 2004.

Viduya, also known as Priscilla Almeda when she was doing daring films, eventually also separated from her US-based partner with whom she has two children.

Viduya and Yllana first met 30 years ago on the set of the 1992 movie Gwapings: The First Adventure. They became an item, but went their separate ways for many years and had their own families.
After years of no communication, they reconnected in 2015 through social media.

As their first marriages ended, the two decided to meet again in 2019, and thereafter rekindled their romantic relationship.

Love does seem lovelier the second time around, as the two are now husband and wife.
