Jelly jiggles into ‘now’

Telfar, known to be the “Black-owned, genderless fashion project founded in 2004 by Telfar Clemens in New York City,” is the latest collaboration to watch with shoe brand Melissa, the leader in jelly shoe fashion.

Unveiled recently in Manila, Melissa’s upcoming collections come at the heels of high-profile design collabs, such as Marc Jacobs, Viktor and Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld.

It is, indeed, “a thrilling double act,” with collaborations featuring “styles that ignite movement and momentum,” as seen in the following must-have pieces:

Reversible Melissa Mogu Bag + 52 by Hikaru Matsumura designed in collaboration with the renowned fashion designer known for his work in the Issey Miyake Paris collection. Available in four colorways, (yellow, white, black and pink), the bags are available online at www.melissaphilippines.com and in select stores: Clube Melissa SM North, TriNoma, Shangri-La, Uptown BGC, SM Aura, newly opened Clube Melissa MOA and Melissa pop-up shops in Alabang Town Center and Megamall.

Melissa x Telfar Telly Jelly – Brown

By end of December 2023, Melissa Philippines is bringing the Telly Jelly collection, the Brazilian brand’s first-ever collaboration with the unisex fashion label, Telfar. Carrying a futuristic design while still maintaining its wearability, this range offers a fully transparent take on the partner brand’s ubiquitous shopping bags which come in small, medium and large sizes, and white, black, brown and pink colors. Additionally, the bags are accompanied by genderless unisex slides. Beyond the aesthetics, each piece from the entire collection is meticulously developed and designed, showcasing fluid lines and a tubular construction, molded using Melissa’s exclusive and sustainable Melflex materials. Whether it’s for an upcoming night of music and dance, meeting up with friends, or just feeling stylish while on the go, the Telly Jelly pieces make for ideal additions to any wardrobe for this season and beyond.
