American actress and political activist Jane Fonda revealed that the late French director René Clément asked to sleep with her during the making of the film “Joy House”.
“He wanted to go to bed with me because he said the character had to have an orgasm in the movie and he needed to see what my orgasms were like. He said it in French and I pretended I didn’t understand,” Fonda said during a TV interview in a recent episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen”.
According to Variety Magazine, Clément was 51 years old while Fonda was aged 27 during the time that they were making the film.
“Joy House” is a 1964 French thriller, directed by Clément for MGM, starring Fonda, Alain Delon, and Lola Albright. In the film, Fonda portrayed a woman who fell in love with a card shark wanted by American gangsters.
