Greenhills Night Market lures with shopping and entertainment offers

At the Greenhills (GH) Night Market, which officially opened on 8 November at GStrip Parking, you can do both shopping and enjoying entertainment acts. Or you can start with getting yourself entertained first, then shop at the night market later.

Friday nights are for jamming with Mnemosyne band and laughing with Pamilya Kwela on 17 and 24 November.

Mnemosyne band heats up the nights once more on 5, 12, 19 and 26 December.

Dancing Zumba style happens on 16, 20 and 30 November and on 7, 12, 21 and 28 December.

Can there be anything more awe-inspiring than a fireworks display? Well, catch them on 9, 16, 23 and 30 December.

FRESHLY squeezed juices

And if rapping is your thing (notice, there’s no “w” at the beginning of the word), join the competition with elimination rounds on 6, 13 and 20. Your rap should be about Christmas, of course. Or about Christmas night markets. There should be a bed of music (jingle) in your rap.

Pinoy Kwela will be around again to dish out the laughs on 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 December.

A car show is entertaining, too. There will be one on 16 December and it’s billed as “Wild Nights VIP Car Show.”

On 27 December is the grand finals of the Christmas Rap Jingle Competition.

The GH Night Market runs till 31 December. The market sells a selection of food of various cuisines, such as grilled pork barbecue, Hungarian sausage wrapped in bacon, so many types of pasta and desserts like magic ice cream.

Shoppers can find great drink pairings to their meals. They can enjoy a wide selection of freshly squeezed juices, milk tea and more.

Bargain hunting is big deal at the GH Night Market, of course. Shoppers can find gifts, from stylish clothing to colorful accessories.

There are fun kiddie rides and games.

Families are free to bring their kids along to try GH Night Market’s many dishes and activities. The fun kiddie rides include a carousel and ferris wheel, and games like dart balloon and bottle hoop to win stuffed toys. It’s like experiencing a playground in the heart of the metro.

The night market’s official opening was attended by San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, Vice President of Ortigas Malls Architect Renee Bacani, Ortigas Family, San Juan city officials and other Ortigas Malls executives. They led the ceremonial lighting of the Night Market to welcome expectant foodies and holiday shoppers.

A choir performance by Lighter Side Movement Choir and a dance showcase by LED Buganda Dancers filled the GH Night Market with joyful holiday spirit. GH also wowed guests and shoppers with a brilliant fireworks display.

In the spirit of the holidays, Ortigas Malls executives and Mayor Zamora distributed gift packs to children beneficiaries from White Cross Orphanage
-San Juan. Every year, GH partners with a charity to spread the love and joy of Christmas.
