In recent years, the beauty landscape in the Philippines has undergone a remarkable transformation, driven by a surge in skincare innovations that embrace cutting-edge formulas and technologies. This dynamic shift reflects the evolving preferences and discerning choices of Filipino consumers who are increasingly prioritizing their skin health and overall well-being.
With an unwavering commitment to creating solutions that address the ever-changing preferences of beauty enthusiasts, Kojie San unveils two new face care products: a Skin Lightening Serum, created with Zero Pigment Light Technology, alongside a tinted sunscreen infused with the powerful combination of Radicare and True Tone Technology.
“We’re really opening our horizons in terms of developing what type of skincare the consumers need or want,” said Kelcey Chua, Kojie San senior brand manager.
The Philippine-based company celebrated the official launch of its latest skincare products at an event hosted by Debbie Then at the Glorietta Activity Center. The event was attended by beauty content creators and artists, including fashion and beauty influencers, such as Jeline Catt and Daniella Roi.
Board-certified dermatologist Coreen San Pedro provided insights on the skin lightening serum and its integration into skincare routines, while renowned makeup artist and beauty educator Christine Duque demonstrated the application and incorporation of the tinted sunscreen into makeup routines.
“The new Kojie San Super Serum was designed to give you a supercharged glow that’s proven to have visible results as fast as day one,” Chua said. The Skin Lightening Serum combines niacinamide for skin clarity, hyaluronic acid for moisture, vitamin C for scar healing and fading and the brand’s signature ingredient, kojic acid, known for its skin-lightening properties.
The serum also incorporates Zero Pigment Light Technology, challenging the conventional approach to brightening. Instead of masking imperfections with pigments, this serum works with the skin’s natural processes to target dark spots, age spots, scars, melasma and hyperpigmentation, resulting in a lighter and more even skin tone.
Alongside the release of the serum, Kojie San has also released a Tinted Sunscreen with SPF 50+ PA+++, a sunscreen that claims to protect the skin from the sun and gadgets while blurring skin imperfections. It incorporates True Tone Technology, which, according to the brand, makes the tint adjust to an individual’s skin tone, creating a one-size-fits-all variant. Depending on one’s preference, the tinted sunscreen may be used in place of a regular foundation as it provides light coverage, or it could also be used as a primer as it gives a blurring effect to the skin.
Aside from the true tone technology, it also has RadiCare technology, which serves as a protective barrier that shields the skin from any harmful light radiation polluting skin, such as blue light emitted from gadgets.
When asked how to incorporate these new products into one’s skincare and makeup routines, San Pedro advised that individuals can begin by conducting a patch test and practicing skin cycling to minimize the likelihood of significant skin reactions and ensure a smoother transition.
With an array of innovations, formulas and technologies, Filipinos are more empowered to make choices that best reflect their unique beauty aspirations and values. As the skincare industry in the Philippines continues to evolve, one thing is clear: skincare is no longer just a routine but a journey of self-care and self-expression.
