Many celebrities from the entertainment industry are mourning the untimely death of Jaclyn Jose. Among them is Nora Aunor, whose latest project with the equally great late actress is Pieta.

“Kasama po ako ng buong industriya na nagluluksa sa pagpanaw ni Ms. Jaclyn Jose, isang premyadong aktres at kaibigang maituturing ng marami sa atin. Ang kaniyang buhay at ang maraming pelikula at programa sa telebisyon na ating tinangkilik ay mga mabubuting alaalang maaari nating isipin sa mga sandaling itong lugmok ang ating mga puso sa kaniyang pagkawala (I am with the whole industry who is mourning the death of Ms. Jaclyn Jose, an award-winning actress and a friend of many of us.  Her life and the many movies and programs on television which we patronized are good memories which we can think of in this moment where our hearts are hurt by her loss),” she said in her statement.

For Claudine Barretto, Jaclyn’s death is painful.

“Feb.29 Direk Wenn left us. March 2 Nanay Jane u left us. you left me. I’m in unbearable Pain. everything is painful. u lived 11 houses down from my house,” she said in a social media post, also mentioning Wenn Deramas, who directed their teleserye Mula sa Puso, which ran from 1997 to 1999.

“I will miss u coming up to my room tulog ako tatabihan mo ako (I’m still asleep and you will sleep next to me). pag nagising ako sasabihin mo anak na miss ka lang ni Nanay (When I wake up, you will say, I just miss you).”   

Barretto revealed that if she was going through something, she’d go to Jose’s house and go straight to the Jose’s room. There the two women would embrace.

Gladys Reyes, who last worked Jose in Apag, was utterly shocked after learning about her senior colleague’s death.

“Nakakagulat, nabigla tayong lahat. Ang dami naming pinagsamahan, simula 9 years old ako sa Lovingly Yours, Helen hanggang dito sa huling movie na Apag, di sya nagbago sakin.
Isa itong vlog na to sa di ko makakalimutan na masayang bonding namin sa set.
Di ko makakalimutan lahat ng tips, pag-alaga sakin na parang ate talaga. Nabawasan na naman ng isang magaling at de kalibreng aktor ang industriya.

Gela Atayde belies sister Ria Atayde is pregnant

Gela Atayde denounced rumors that her older sister Ria Atayde is on the family way. The rumor stemmed from when Ria and her boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo recently announced their wedding engagement.

Netizens were quick to deduce that the engagement was hurriedly made because Atayde is infanticipating. 

The younger Atayde doused rumors when interviewed by ABS-CBN, saying that her sister Ria has been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

“For me, I can’t say much yet. For now, no. They’re trying, that’s for sure. My sister has a PCOS, and it would be a miracle if she has a child,” she said.

Gela disclosed that should it be true, there would be no problem as “my parents also are supportive of that. My sister nga kasi is at that age, turning 32 this year, medyo kailangan na din (It’s a bit needed).” 

Why netizens feel ‘It’s Showtime’ should take over the slot of ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’

Now that Tahanang Pinakamasaya has gone off the air, netizens feel that It’s Showtime should take its place.

This comes right on the heels of a report that the TAPE Inc.-produced noontime show will no longer air on GMA.

“It’s Showtime na dpt ipalit jn (It should be replaced by It’s Showtime).”

“Oo naman healthy competitions between Eat Bulaga at It’s Showtime.”

“Pwede naman, healthy competition yan, panalo viewers (It could be, that’s healthy competition, the viewers will win).”
