Chinese rapper and singer-songwriter Lay Zhang will finally hold his fan meeting and music listening party in Manila this December.

Through his Instagram broadcast channel on 17 November, Zhang announced that the event is free and by invitation only. Fans may join by filling out the sign-up form. Winners will be announced on 27 November.

Zhang will also be visiting Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.

Previously, DAILY TRIBUNE asked the EXO member if his album West holds any significance for him as an artist.

“Yes. Each album is important to me. They are like my children. This one (West) is about having fun vibes while telling my truth,” he said.

West is a sequel to East, his record released in 2021 that also pays homage to his Chinese ethnicity and fantasy universe.

“It’s not difficult. Everybody can create something new but it’s hard to make people like it and know it,” he said.

When asked if he would hold a Manila show, Lay replied: “For sure. As soon as possible. I’ve always wanted to meet my fans there.”

Pre-sale for his Grandline 3 Lay Zhang 2023 Tour in Chongqing, China, is sold out as of 16 November. The concert will be held on 2 December.
