Fashion aficionados and supporters of local talent are in for a treat as the much-anticipated PHx Station kicked off last 22 October, offering a dynamic platform for rising Filipino fashion designers to exhibit their creativity and innovation.
Initiated by the PHx Fashion Group, led by local contemporary fashion designers Esme Palaganas and Seph Bagasao, with the support of art advocate Trickie Lopa, PHx Station is set to become a focal point for emerging fashion talent in the bustling heart of Makati City.
PHx Station is more than just a fair — it’s a “dynamic market activity” designed to propel aspiring local designers onto the global stage. It draws inspiration from its name, likening itself to a transportation hub, serving as both a “departure point” and “arrival point” for Filipino artists to showcase their craftsmanship, according to Lopa.
Eleven talented designers have been carefully selected to participate in this exciting fashion extravaganza. These designers include Alexie Nethercott, Novel Worldwide, HAMU, Kelvin Morales, IMMA Universe, Lilianna Manahan, Le Ngok, Renz Edward Reyes, Jill Lao, Bagasao and APARA.
In a show of support for the future of fashion, PHx Station has also partnered with prestigious fashion institutions such as the College of St. Benilde, iAcademy and SoFA.
The PHx Station experience will extend over three months, starting from October 2023 and continuing until January 2024. The event will be hosted at Greenbelt 5, a prime location in Makati City known for its vibrant fashion scene.
Debuting in November 2019, PHx Station was founded with the vision of supporting local designers on their journey to success. Bagasao, Palaganas and Lopa joined forces to establish the PHx Fashion Group, a platform aimed at providing education and market incubation to assist aspiring local designers in building their businesses.
