Where business, leisure meet

Two spaces in the Queen City of the South seamlessly blend business and leisure, balancing work and play.

NUSTAR Convention Center, located within the nine-hectare NUSTAR Resort, had its grand opening gala in June. It stands as the largest and most modern convention center in Visayas and Mindanao, with three spacious ballrooms as well as nine well-equipped meeting spaces. Altogether, these occupy a total area of 7,378.2 square meters.

The NUSTAR Grand Ballroom previously hosted key workshops, while the facility’s other meeting spaces and ballrooms has served as breakout rooms for MICE meetings. The NUSTAR Grand Ballroom was the location for the Philippine Tourism Dive Dialogue organized by the Department of Tourism (Region 7), the Philippine Travel Exchange travel fair and most recently, the International World Rice Conference.

The NuStar Grand Ballroom can comfortably seat 1,760 guests in a banquet setup, while even more can be accommodated in a theater setup, with up to 3,290 guests or delegates.

The grand space, with its awe-inspiring six-meter ceiling height, can also be partitioned into three separate sections measuring 742.26 sqm (NUSTAR Grand Ballroom A), 1,063.35 sqm (NUSTAR Grand Ballroom B), and 730.58 sqm (NUSTAR Grand Ballroom C), respectively, to host events of varying types and sizes.

Meanwhile Fili Hotel, the country’s first homegrown five-star hotel brand, has a ballroom with a capacity of 340 guests in a round banquet setup. To maximize its utility, it can be partitioned into three areas measuring 90, 175, and 190 sq. meters respectively. It also offers five function rooms for small meetings.

Each of the hotel’s 379 meticulously designed rooms and suites are equipped with modern amenities to elevate comfort.

NUSTAR Resort is just a 30-minute drive from Mactan-Cebu International Airport via the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway and a 25-minute sea trip from Mactan.
