Two birthdays at the city sports club

Chief Pathologist

Randolph Libres has so much to be thankful for.  Being recently appointed as the Chief Pathology Resident of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Cebu Doctors University Hospital, he celebrated his birthday with a bash at the City Sports Club.

His mother, retired pediatrician and VP for Administration at St. Paul College Foundation, Dr. Enrieta Libres, together with her son’s longtime dedicated partner JP Lim, led the well-wishers who came with love and affection, warm wishes and congratulations on the achievement.

Dear family, friends and colleagues in touches of either plaid or checkered convened at the gathering to spend an evening of fun and laughter, songs and dancing.

Dr. Leo Anne Hao, Clinical Pathology Training Officer of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Cebu Doctors Hospital, in jest and camaraderie, shared little-known tidbits about Randolph.

Glasses clinked and even the non-alcoholic drinkers gamely partook of the tequila that was passed around remembering the mantra, “lick, shoot, suck”.

Soon after, the much-liked celebrant made his wish, blew out the cake candles, thanked the guests and marked the beginning of a new age.

Enterpreneur Par Excellence

A fortnight later, another birthday celebration was held at the same venue, this time hosted by entrepreneur par excellence, Merian Tirol who, this time, opted for guests to don stylish attires.

The lady of the hour, dressed in a stunning silk floral long skirt and old rose top, beamed broadly as she welcomed everyone present at the celebratory occasion. Beside her was the ever-supportive husband Nonoy, debonair in a trendy gray shirt.

The joyous affair enjoined guests to sing along and even participate in a group dance — first by all the ladies, and then the gentlemen.

The night continued on cloud nine as the revelry went on with overflowing drinks that fueled the party.
