Newport World Resorts brings the timeless hits of the Carpenters back to life with the Carpenters Reborn concert on 3 December at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

It is yesterday once more for fans of the phenomenally successful brother-sister duo as the tribute show that features Chloe Foston as Karen Carpenter takes them back to The Carpenters’ heyday.

Karen and her brother Richard were the iconic Carpenter siblings who produced a repertoire of harmony-laced hits in the 1970s such as “Close to You,” “Top of the World,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Please Mr. Postman” and “Yesterday Once More.”

The top-selling American act released 12 studio albums, two Christmas albums and numerous singles, selling over 100 million records.

It is not an easy feat to recreate the signature sound of The Carpenters frontwoman and drummer, but Foston has velvety tones that sound uncannily similar.

The United Kingdom-based singer has been touring across the world along with the six-piece tribute band Solitaire.

When not doing justice to the Carpenters’ songbook, Foston stars in theater shows. Audiences will now witness how she musically channels the superstar and celebrates the legacy of the Carpenters.
