TikTok fetes 2023’s top Pinoy content creators

The year 2023 is a great year for rising and popular TikTok content creators and celebrities who found millions of new fans and followers on the platform.

To cap off this amazing year, TikTok Philippines gathered some of the biggest and most influential names on the platform for Creators Night 2023, held at Rizal Park Hotel on 10 December.

“Here at #BestOfTikTokPH Creators Night, we will look back at the collective and unique stories we shared as a community, highlighting the incredible efforts that you, our TikTok Filipino creators do to continue inspiring, educating and entertaining Filipinos through world-class content,” said Jules Garcia, head of community of TikTok Philippines, in his welcome speech.

Marian Rivera, one of the industry’s most popular and sought-after actresses, emerged as the Breakthrough Creator of the Year. The 39-year-old actress currently has over seven million followers on TikTok, with her viral video dancing to a sped-up version of “Price Tag” garnering a whopping 195 million views.

P-pop mega-group SB19, singer Yeng Constantino and actress Gabbi Garcia were hailed as Philippine Artists of the Year, and Eric “Eruption” Tai and Daniel Laudit the Breakout Stars.

On the red carpet, content creators and artists showcased their avant-garde-inspired outfits while they also talked about their main advocacies.

Journalist Jacque Manabat, who has over 270,000 followers on TikTok, wore a black and white ensemble. She highlighted freedom of speech and the fight against disinformation and fake news as her main advocacy.

“Thank you @TikTok Philippines for giving journalism a platform and for empowering Filipino journalists,” said Manabat in her TikTok video.

Pharmacist Arshie Larga, who won Content Creator of the Year in September, graced the occasion to once again champion accessible health care for all.

Laudit, known for producing “Mentor” inspired videos on the platform, brought along a Pride flag to represent the LGBTQ+ community at the event.

Drag queens Marina Summers, Eve La Queen, Captivating KatKat, Bernie and Jade So of Drag Race Philippines Seasons 1 and 2 entertained attendees with their grand performances. And Juan Karlos brought the festivities to an extra high when he sang his
chart-topping song “Ere.”
