The Authority Productions (TAP) last year dominated the world of male pageantry with three of its representatives clinching titles in various male pageant competitions held in Southeast Asia
USA’s Blake Johnston bested 14 other aspirants in the inaugural edition of the contest in Kuala Lumpur. On 10 October 2023, Johnston captured the Mister Cosmopolitan title.
A month later in Indonesia, Brazil’s Dereck Gimenes became the sixth Man of the Year. Gimenes bested 17 other men from different countries in the competition held in Bali on 10 November 2023.
Brazil’s winning feat continued in the Philippines when Joao Emiliao won the Great Man of the Universe. Emiliao bested 13 other men after the inaugural competition held in Baguio City on 25 November 2023.
In 2021, Filipino-American production maverick Joselli Rojas founded TAP in Los Angeles, California, and was the man behind the winning streak in Southeast Asia. From a budding modeling and talent agency, the company expanded into producing fashion shows, stage plays, and media content. In 2022, TAP started searching for and sending delegates to various global pageant competitions.
USA’s Rebecca Stoughton was fourth runner-up in the Reinado Internacional del Cafe, Salvadoran Adrian Itzam was in the Top 10 of the Mister Supranational, and USA’s Elijah Van Zantem was second runner-up in the Manhunt International: Male Supermodel.
Through Rojas’ keen eye for scouting talent potential, several prestigious international pageant organizations have approached him to field candidates, such as Miss Mesoamerica, Manhunt International: Male Supermodel, Mister Cosmopolitan, Man of the Year, Great Man of the Universe, and Mister and Miss Supranational. To date, TAP has the official authority to select and field delegates to represent the USA; the Philippines; Latin American countries El Salvador and Brazil; European nations Italy, Switzerland, and France; and Cape Verde in Africa under his sphere.
