Super Junior’s Yesung kicks off 2024 Phl concert scene with ‘Unfading Sense’

As we embrace the year 2024, fans are extra excited and eager to see more of their favorite artists perform live.

Luckily for Filipino ELFs, they welcomed the new year with a soulful and enchanting vocal performance from Yesung of Super Junior last 6 January at the New Frontier Theater.

His solo concert tour Unfading Sense gave fans an intimate and unforgettable experience of seeing Yesung up close and personal as he sang his songs “Scented Things,” “Floral Sense,” “It Has To Be You,” “Slide Away” and many more.

Yesung also captivated the crowd by interacting with them, making the fans laugh and scream their hearts out. He made jokes, attempted eye contact with the audience, jokingly scolded fans for focusing too much on recording on their phones and introduced his band members to the fans.

Apart from the jokes and laughter, Yesung said he hopes to return to the Philippines as a solo artist and together with his members: “I hope we can see one another again in our next Super Show… Please continue to support me and my fellow members so we can come back again.”

The singer-songwriter concluded the concert with his heartwarming song “I Am,” showcasing his vocal prowess and his soulful musical journey throughout the two-hour show.

After the concert, Yesung expressed his gratitude to Filipino ELFs on X (formerly Twitter). Prior to the concert, the 39-year-old singer also posted photos of gifts and surprises made by fans.

“Thank you Philippines ELF,” Yesung said, adding a photo of the concert and a selfie.

Presented by PULP Live World, Yesung’s concert tour marked the first K-pop concert of the year, as well as Yesung’s comeback in the Philippines since the group’s fan concert show in July and their concert Super Show 9 in December.

Yesung is a member of the K-pop powerhouse Super Junior and is widely recognized for their classic hits “Sorry, Sorry,” “Mr. Simple,” “Devil” and more. He jumpstarted his solo career nine years later in 2016 with his first extended play, “Here I Am.”

Yesung will wrap up his concert tour Unfading Sense in Macau on 13 January.
