The full moon in June reached its peak fullness on 3 June at 11:42 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said.
June’s full moon, NASA added, is also called the “Strawberry Moon”, as it coincides with the short harvest season for strawberries.
In an Instagram post, the US space agency shared a photo of a riverboat illuminated by soft warm light under the yellow glow of a hazy full moon.
