Savor the rich and authentic flavors of Spain at Manduca Taberna, the inaugural recipient of the esteemed Restaurants from Spain Certification, bestowed by the Spanish government.
On 4 March at the newly opened Manduca Taberna branch in One Ayala, the Spanish Embassy, led by the distinguished Silvia Torices de la Varga, presented this prestigious certification. The accolade is a testament to chef Amado Garcia Fernandez and the team behind Manduca Taberna, highlighting their commitment to capturing the distinct essence of Spanish culinary heritage.
“They go through a very careful supervision in which we check the purity of the products used in the restaurant, the recipes, the idea, the concept to make sure that the experience of Spain that you are looking for is provided here,” said De la Varga.
“We’re very proud of Manduca Taberna for being the first restaurant in the Philippines to receive the Silver seal certification. Our team will continue to do our best to deliver authentic Spanish dining experiences to the country,” stated Fernandez, co-founder of Manduca Taberna.
The Spanish certification not only celebrates Manduca’s dedication but also sets a standard for genuine Spanish dining experiences. It’s a guarantee that each dish served is a true representation of Spain, elevating culinary expectations.
Manduca Taberna serves a selection of traditional Spanish dishes, including seafood paella, tuna tartar, cachopo Asturiano, tapas and slow-cooked lamb shank with piquillo peppers and creamy mashed potatoes.
