Q & A on beauty and wellness

We begin the year by giving you the answers you seek, thus providing you a choice on various approaches to wellness.

Step 1: Listen to yourself

Oftentimes, we push away the nagging thoughts and feelings that are trying to tell us something you refuse to give importance or attention to.

If these are recurring feelings, then your body is trying to tell you that you need fixing.

Step 2: Write it down

Make a report card on yourself — body, mind and spirit. List down your areas of concern. Tip: Where there is pain or discomfort, focus on that.

Step 3. Get expert advice

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Who knows, perhaps a family doctor or an elder may have the solution to your problem. The way forward is to seek professional help. Ask a friend who might have been in the same situation.

Cory’s Way

Because you asked for this, here it is:

Upon waking up in the morning, I do my oil pulling for 10 minutes using VCO.

Oil Pulling: Take one tablespoon of virgin coconut oil and use it as a mouthwash. Spit out the contents into a trash can.

Brush your teeth.

Drink two glasses of lukewarm water.

Drink your homemade veggie juice.

Wash and peel two carrots, half of singkamas, one cup of raw sayote, one whole green apple, 1/4 cup ampalaya.

Drink this on an empty stomach.

Have a bowl of fresh fruits: Papaya and apple, then add non-dairy milk, raw oatmeal with a tablespoon of honey.

On other days you may alternate with sugar beets and carrots, plain and pure celery, sayote, young leaves/sprouts of sweet potatoes, talbos ng kamote or any other talbos, singkamas

Adopt the habit of juicing in the morning because the benefits will amaze you:

1) Lower cholesterol and sugar levels

2) Regular bowel movement

3) Weight control

4) Clearer complexion

5) More energy

Affirmation: “Optimum health is mine.”

Love and light!
