We recently celebrated an icon for women, Myrna Tang Yao, on her birthday.
There are endless reasons to love her, whether it’s for bringing Mattel’s Barbie to the Philippines, or her philanthropy and work around empowering women.
Remember the Great Women Project, or Magna Carta Law of Women during the incumbency of Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo? We can thank her for those. And did you know she helped build one of the biggest churches in Bulacan, the Our Lady of Piat Church? The list goes on!
On her special day, we gathered at the La Piazza restaurant in Okada. I wore pink in homage to our Barbie Queen, of course. Pretty in pink!
The room was full of love with Myrna’s family, friends and special guests from the organizations she supports, plus other power women like Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Senator Cynthia Villar and Senator Imee Marcos.
Together, we all enjoyed a full-course menu for queens! We also got to listen to heartfelt speeches for the birthday girl. So sweet!
It’s a blessing to know such an amazing woman. Thank you, Myrna, for changing our lives for the better. Wishing you many more happy and fruitful years ahead.
Cheers to you!
