Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA’s ‘Ang Diwa ng Pasko’ Christmas tree lighting ceremony delights guests

Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA held its Christmas tree lighting ceremony, “Ang Diwa ng Pasko,” on 15 November. The well-attended event captivated its guests with the hotel’s festive atmosphere depicting the Filipino spirit of Christmas.

The highlight of the ceremony was the lighting of the Christmas tree with traditional and locally produced capiz and parol decorations, which were sourced from nearby towns of Pampanga to support the livelihood of local artisans. The tree lighting was led by Elizabeth Sy, president of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp.; Oliviere Belmonte, First District Action Officer of Quezon City; Department of Tourism NCR representative Ivan Agote; and Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA’s general manager, Ann Olalo.

During the event, guests had the chance to vote for the hotel’s official Christmas card, featuring artworks created by children from the SOS Children’s Villages Philippines. This partnership showcased the hotel’s commitment to support the community through its Responsible Business program.

Adding to the enchantment of the evening, the talented UE Chorale and Vien King performed Filipino Christmas carols and classical pieces. The hotel also launched its first Holiday Arts and Crafts Bazaar, which ran from 15 November to 3 December, showcasing locally crafted products and artworks at the second level. Proceeds of the bazaar will fund the hotel’s sustainability projects.
