Irate fans of KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) and Blythe (Andrea Brillantes) have been mass-reporting Ogie Diaz’s social media platforms because of the talent manager and content creator’s unconfirmed reports that Padilla and Brillantes have secretly met a couple of times, short of outing their clandestine romance.
Infuriated by Diaz’s report on his YouTube channel, KathNiel and Blythe’s fans are collectively pooling their might in an attempt to neutralize the talent manager’s empty and baseless report by reporting his social media account.
Initially, the pissed-off fans made “Ogie Diaz Fakenews Peddler” trend on X (formerly Twitter).
“May naibalita lang kami na sinabi naman namin na di pa confirmed at sana di totoo, fake news peddler na raw kami. So pag tama ba kami, sasabitan nyo kami ng medalya?” came Diaz’s reply on his X account.
But this seemed to add more fuel to the fire as disgusted fans threatened to mass report Diaz’s social media account.
“‘Not confirmed’ din ito ha, kapag daw na MASS REPORT natin yung youtube channel ni @ogiediaz mababawasan na ang mga fakenews peddler sa bansa. again, this is not confirmed ha? try natin to confirm if it’s true okie? OGIE DIAZ FAKENEWS PEDDLER,” one guy wailed.
One fan did not even spare Diaz’s daughters as he said, “If i am ur daughter, mhihiya ako, ung father ko kumikita ng pera from spreading fake news, naninira! Siguro nga mabuti kang ama, pero paano nkakaya ng conscience mo mgpakalat ng news na wala ka nman proof, sabi lng ni ganito ganyan? (If I am your daughter, I will be ashamed; my father earns money from spreading fake news, ruining people! Maybe you’re a good father, but how can your conscience be able to bear to spread news where you don’t have proof, that someone just said this and that?).”
Social media personality Rendon Labador was in the same predicament when netizens mass reported all his social media account following his catty messages against popular personalities months ago.
No Yano reunion
With seeming finality, rock star Dong Abay said there will be no Yano reunion.
“No Yano reunion. Yano is a band that will never reunite. Dong Abay is beyond Yano,” he declared on his Facebook account.
This comes right on the heels of the Rivermaya reunion concert, which will happen at the SMDC Festival Grounds on 17 February 2024.
Abay is seemingly exasperated by constant queries about the possible reunion of his former band, thus, he doused fans with that statement.
Of course, Abay’s statement brought down memory lane as his fans swarmed his post with nostalgic moment message.
For one fan, “first album is da best. great timing dun sa pinagdadaanan nga tao at bansa na di alam ang gagawin sa kalayaan (The first album is the best. It was great timing for what people were going through and the country which does not know what to do with freedom).”
“Mas sikat nga ung perpekto pero mas gusto ko ung writ of kalikasan (‘Perpekto’ was more popular but I like ‘Writ of Kalikasan’ more),” said another fan.
“Yep pero iba pa rin yun Yano na kanta. Highschool pa ako nun then yun nagtumatanda na, ang kantang Esem ang national anthem ko. Ramdam ko ang hirap ng buhay (Yeah, but it’s different Yano songs. I was in high school then and when I got old, the song ‘Esem’ have become my national anthem. I really felt the hardships of life),” one guy recalled.
