South Korean actor Lee Jae-Wook and performer Karina of the girl group aespa seem to be taking their relationship to the “next level” as their respective agencies have confirmed that they’re “getting to know each other.”

The two popular personalities took social media by storm when the Korean online media outlet Dispatch reported dating rumors on 27 February.

Lee’s management outfit, C-Jes Studios, and Karina’s agency, SM Entertainment immediately confirmed the real score between the two.

“The two are getting to know each other,” C-Jes Studios said.

The agency also asked fans for their heartfelt support towards the two: “Lee is currently filming [a drama], and this involves his private life, we ask for warm respect to be shown.”

According to Dispatch, the two celebrities began dating after they met at the Prada fashion show held during the Milan Fashion Week in early January of this year. Following their first meeting overseas, the two have been getting to know each other by taking late-night walks around the actor’s neighborhood.

Lee began his acting debut in the 2018 Korean science fiction series Memories of the Alhambra. Since then, his career started moving into high gear as he took on a string of small-screen projects: Extraordinary You (2019), When The Weather Is Fine (2020) and Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020).

The 25-year-old actor’s popularity skyrocketed when he starred in the hit Netflix drama Alchemy of Souls (2022) and its sequel, Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow (2022-2023), alongside Jung So-min and Go Youn-jung.

Meanwhile, Karina is the known leader of aespa, which debuted in November 2020 and is known for its popular tracks “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” “Savage,” “Drama,” and more.
