Fans and viewers who enjoyed Jane de Leon and Janella Salvador’s thrilling tandem as Darna and Valentina in the superhero series Darna have something to look forward to, as the two stars are set to reunite in a new film titled How To be A Good Wife.

The IdeaFirst Company announced the project on 13 November.

“J x J x J — Janella Salvador and Jane de Leon in a new film by Jun Robles Lana! HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE. Also starring Ms Susan Africa. Screenplay by Keavy Vicente and Fatrick Tabada. Filming soon! #JxJxJ,” the production company wrote on its social media pages.

Veteran actress Susan Africa, a mainstay in popular Filipino teleseryes, such as Mara Clara (1992), Kadenang Ginto (2018-2020), The Broken Marriage Vow (2022) and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (2023), will join De Leon and Salvador in the film.

Their director is no less than Jun Robles Lana, the international award-winning filmmaker behind such movies as Bwakaw (2012), Barber’s Tales (2013), Die Beautiful (2016), Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes (2018), Kalel, 15 (2019) and About Us But Not About Us (2022).

De Leon and Salvador have remained good friends even after the conclusion of the Darna series. Salvador is best known for headlining other blockbuster programs such as Be Careful with My Heart (2012-2014), Born for You (2016) and The Killer Bride (2019-2020). Meanwhile, De Leon rose to prominence after playing the titular character in Mars Ravelo’s Darna (2022-2023).
