The family of Jaclyn Jose is appealing for privacy after news of the tragic death of the veteran actress broke out on Sunday, police said on Monday.

“The family has requested for privacy,” Marikina City Police chief, Col. Earl Castillo, told DAILY TRIBUNE in a phone interview.

Mary Jane Guck in life, the multi-awarded veteran actress passed away Sunday evening. She was 59.

Castillo did not give details about the cause of death of the veteran actress.

“If you want information, just coordinate with the family. We will not disclose any information because that’s what we talked about,” he said.

“We have conducted investigations, but as to the details, they don’t want to disclose it,” the Marikina police chief added.
