Gigi de Lana, told to rest her voice, hits back at bashers

Sultry singer Gigi de Lana clapped back at her critics who said she’s abusing her voice that’s why she developed nodules on her throat that now require treatment.

With stunning looks and a powerful voice, De Lana became a YouTube sensation singing covers of popular songs including her viral rendition of “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita.”

She has since dabbled into acting and performing abroad.

But she was recently diagnosed with throat nodules. Doctors prescribed medication and told her to rest for two months.

Yet instead of getting sympathy, De Lana even got bashers who blamed her over-the-top singing style for her ailment.

Sino kakayod?” she added.

In a video of her recent performance, she revealed to the crowd that she was suffering from a throat ailment.

I just want to hear you sing, because I don’t know if my voice will remain like this forever,” she told the audience. “Because I was diagnosed already sa throat ko.”

The “Hello Heart” star said: “So please pray for me and now magre-rest ako for two months, and ito ‘yung gig na talagang pinagbigyan namin.
