Layering is once again the ideal approach to building a chic and rich, sophisticated and cool, but always spontaneous, wardrobe.
Creativity and versatility are the two concepts that permeate the Marella Autumn-Winter 2023 collection, starting with the fabrics, where tweed, fine wools and cashmere coexist with bright fabrics, such as velvet jersey, silks and satins and technical materials.
Broad and surprising color scales are lit up by vibrant and trendy shades, capable of dialoguing with timeless hues, such as the black and white made iconic by the Marella ART. 365 collection.
For Autumn 2023, the capsule pairs classic black and white with warm tones, such as rust and camel, clean cuts, cut-outs and oblique slits that allow a glimpse of the body, an element celebrated by the Milanese artist Elena Toscano, who in her project Shapes in Motion has created anthropomorphically-inspired graphic patterns.
Marella Monochrome, the icon of monochrome dressing, proposes a conscious femininity thanks to the use of responsible materials with which to create timeless garments: Full-length trousers paired with double-breasted blazers, flowing blouses and new knitwear silhouettes, conceived to be layered in a renewed celebration of the art of perfect layering in the four winter colors: Wine, nude, greige and black.
Overlapping is also the leitmotif for interpreting the blazer, a staple of the beginning of the season: To be worn in a full suit version or over a flowing dress, it is the silhouette par excellence for sophisticated day-to-night dressing.
The blazer, more than a garment, is a lifestyle, and Marella celebrates it with a true manifesto of the season, moving between tailoring-inspired styles and new proportions, in a range of statement colors that return throughout the collection: in addition to the timeless camel, intense shades such as purple and light blue, and warm shades such as orange and rust.
Another founding chapter of the season’s proposal is the outerwear, also deeply linked to Marella’s DNA and tradition, offered in a wide range of shapes and fabrics.
The Outerwear Foundation proposal envisages a versatile mix of lengths and weights — from the trench coat, a must-have at the beginning of the season, to the maxi coat in pure wool, to the shearling jacket in synthetic sheepskin — in a color palette played on neutral and timeless colors, from camel to black, passing through grey, the guiding color for the entire collection project .
The more casual soul of the brand approaches the season with a proposal that interprets layering in its most modern version.
Shirts with a masculine fit dialogue with flowing skirts, the oversized boyfriend style jacket overlaps soft knitwear, velvet jersey is the protagonist of total looks to be worn from morning to night.
Not to be missed is the Marella Denim collection, an expression of urban and contemporary easywear.
Marella is available at Moressi, Level 3 Main Wing, Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong.
