Four decades of defying time

After four decades of setting trends and defying time, G-Shock continues to stand as a symbol of unrelenting innovation and style. While celebrating its 40th anniversary, G-Shock proves that it’s not just a watch — it’s a timeless, ever-evolving icon that’s still “vibin” in the world. Over the weekend, on 14 October, crowds were in high spirits celebrating the 40th anniversary of G-Shock, the iconic watch line by Japanese electronics giant Casio.

To mark this significant milestone, Casio joined forces with artists from the renowned music label 88rising, such as Ylona Garcia, Rich Brian, Niki, Warren Hue, Milli, Atarashii Gakko!, Dumbfoundead, Stephanie Poetri and Spence Lee.

This collaboration sets a historic record, featuring the highest number of 88rising artists in any brand campaign. The artists collaborated on a special collection of watches alongside the 40th-anniversary editions, including Clear Remix, Remaster Black, Recrystallizes, Adventurer’s Stone, and Flare Red series, as well as a special collaboration watch with American artist Eric Haze.

Adding to the festivities, a pop-up store emerged at Bonifacio Global City’s High Street, where fans had the chance to witness Ylona Garcia’s electrifying performances of her hit songs like “Entertain Me” and “Vibin.” The celebration took an intimate turn as Ylona engaged with fans, sharing moments and performing her upcoming track “Sore” for the first time live.

The jubilant festivities won’t end in Manila, as the pop-up store is set to travel across Southeast Asian countries, making stops in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
