Zonta Makati and Environs (ZCME) proudly unveil the 10th annual FilipinaZ fundraiser, aptly named “Living Art.”
This unparalleled fusion of art, fashion and jewelry design will unfold at The Fifth at Rockwell from 21 to 22 October, promising an immersive experience while supporting ZCME’s mission to uplift and empower women.
The ZCME-founded FilipinaZ initiative has long supported the arts, and its membership is made up of ardent art lovers and powerful people from a range of creative industries.
Former ZCME president and chairperson of FilipinaZ, Maritess Pineda, emphasized, “FilipinaZ has always been inclined towards the arts. Many of our members are avid art collectors and patrons. We also have several artists from different fields who are part of the organization.”
This year’s celebration places a particular emphasis on art’s pervasiveness in all aspects of daily life, including fashion, design, food and jewelry.
Working closely with Pineda in the ZCME’s Ways and Means Committee, Melissa Romualdez explained, “(Art) permeates everything, everywhere. It is manifested through various aspects of life.”
For this milestone year, FilipinaZ is expanding its horizons by dedicating a larger space at The Fifth at Rockwell solely to art.
Pineda emphasized, “Apart from our advocacies, we also want to help other entrepreneurs—especially in the arts—by offering them an inclusive platform.”
By providing opportunity to emerging artists and art galleries, this project is a trailblazing move.
The inaugural FilipinaZ Luminaries, a special tribute recognizing women pioneers who have substantially influenced Philippine culture, are one of the exciting novelties to this year’s campaign. They will be honored for their outstanding accomplishments along with Anita Magsaysay Ho, Josie Natori, Vicky Vizcarra Sales, Sara Soliven de Guzman and Milagros Salgado Dayrit.
Moreover, the event will feature an amplified art experience within the Art Pavilion, curated by Anyi Nuyda, showcasing exhibitions that interpret the works of the eminent Modern Contemporary artist, Justin Nuyda.
The FilipinaZ fundraiser promises a diverse spectrum of creativity, encompassing fashion, fine jewelry, home décor, design and culinary arts.
