Christmas came early for the production people of Batang Quiapo as its lead star Coco Martin generously shared his blessings.
The recent party was replete with good food, entertainment — and Martin raffling off cash prizes amounting to half a million pesos and a brand-new car.
This was disclosed by comedian Ate Gay who shared photos of the party on his Instagram page with the following caption: “Thank you @boobay7 [fellow comedian Boobay] sinamahan nya ako maghost Christmas party ng Batang Quiapo kasi request sya ni Coco na makasama ko .. Tarayyy may pa 500k at pakotse si Direk Coco sa mga staff. Kaya pinagpapala.”
Netizens greatly appreciated Martin’s generosity.
“May God continuesly bless you Mr. Coco Martin, you are sharing sweetly the gifts you are receiving from Him. You are God -sent to the Philippines movie industry,” went one typical comment.
Kim Chiu shares blessings with her team
It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu is also one generous soul, as seen from the way she treated her team to a Christmas party.
An Instagram fan page account captured a photo of the plethora of appliances and giveaways Chiu raffled off for her staff, her relatives, friends and her team. It included television sets, a blender, electric fan, coffeemaker, multi-cooker and many more.
Not surprisingly, fans also showered the It’s Showtime host with praises.
Donny Pangilinan surprises fans in Sicogon Island
Christmas also came early for locals living in Sicogon Island after Can’t Buy Me Love lead actor Donny Pangilinan surprised them with his presence recently.
Pangilinan shared a video showing him mingling with local fans, with this caption: “Suuuuper fun surprising some of the locals of Sicogon Island who were watching Can’t Buy Me Love.”
Pangilinan visited random houses and watched his own show with local folks, mostly teens who were giddy upon seeing him. There were also the customary selfies and videos with his fans.
Pangilinan, who plays Bingo in the series, feels his character will get to know more Belle Mariano’s Caroline.
“It’s really exciting na our characters CarGo and the love story is about to unfold more,” he said.
Aside from their love story, viewers should expect the worlds of Bingo and Caroline to collide more in the coming episodes, he added.
“It’s nice to see the Tiu family and Team Binondo here in one set since our worlds are colliding na. Nung unang episodes kasi magkalayo pa, so exciting yung mga darating na eksena kasi mas nagiging intense na,” he stated.
