Popular K-drama actor Choi Hyun Wook has turned down a lead role in director Lee Eung Bok’s new drama series, tentatively titled My Relationship That I Also Oppose.
A spokesperson from Choi Hyun Wook’s agency, GOLDMEDALIST, confirmed this decision on 16 October, stating, “It is true Choi Hyun Wook received an offer to star in the new drama My Relationship That I Also Oppose, but we respectfully declined as his schedule did not align.”
According to a Soompi report, the drama delves into the complex subject of whether reuniting with an ex-lover represents a continuation of a familiar relationship or the beginning of something entirely new, exploring the theme of rekindling first loves.
Choi Hyun Wook, celebrated for his compelling performances in Taxi Driver, Racket Boys, Twenty-Five, Twenty-One, Weak Hero Class 1 and D.P Season 2, is currently headlining tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama, Twinkling Watermelon.
Lee Eung Bok, on the other hand, is known for his hit drama series such as Descendants of the Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Mr. Sunshine, Sweet Home and Jirisan.
