Why is choosing the right cleanser important for every skincare routine?

Choosing the right cleanser is paramount for an effective skincare routine because each skin type is uniquely different. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, it is crucial that you find the right formulas to rebalance your skin. Same goes with dry and sensitive skin.

Does the correct choice of facial cleanser affect skin preparation for makeup?

Makeup application requires a fresh clean face as a base. If there are residues left on the skin, then makeup application can be a bit challenging. You end up with unsightly streaks and will most likely need to apply more layers of makeup to create a flawless base. The same goes for dry, dull or dehydrated skin. The register of makeup will appear cracked and dry.

When you use a gentle yet nourishing facial cleanser like Pili Ani Cleansing Butter, makeup application is easier because you have a base that is clean, smooth and moisturized. The end result: makeup that’s flawless and natural-looking.

How does clean and green beauty formulations improve overall skin health?

Simply put, clean and green is safer all around. No toxins, chemical fragrances and preservatives. Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies so what we apply on skin is absorbed by our organs.

What do you love most about Pili Ani’s cleansing butter?

It is amazing how the cleansing butter safely and efficiently dissolves and removes makeup.  I cleanse twice and after the second cleanse, residue is gone. I massaged my skin with the cleansing butter, and let the butter and oils dissolve the makeup products. After cleansing, my skin is not stripped off of its natural oils. It is clean, soft and smooth.

Your expert tips on how to use this product?

Scoop the butter into the palm of your hands and massage with both hands before gently applying on your face.

Take time to gently massage all over the face.

Add a few drops of water on the palm of your hands, and rub your hands with the water to create an emulsification. Massage this onto your face again. This lightly “washes” your face before splashing with water.

Finally, wash off with water. When removing makeup, use a warm, damp soft cloth or cotton pads to wipe off residue. Then wash off with water.

On days when I want to give skin extra pampering, I leave this on for a few minutes like a mask. This is perfect for soothing dry skin.
