Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray bared plans of tying the knot with actor Sam Milby in 2024.

In a vlog by celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, Gray said it will happen next year but stopped short of giving the date.

“Oh my gosh, mga next year. I just want to enjoy this season. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime season, so we just want to enjoy it and take our time,” Gray said. They announced their engagement last February.

Just recently, fellow Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach (2015) revealed that she and Jeremy Jauncey took the plunge, literally and figuratively, in Seychelles several weeks past.

In the interview, Gray said it wasn’t love at first sight for her and Milby. They happened to share the same mentor/manager allowing their paths to cross.

She said she was smitten by Milby’s being “gentle and patient,” and that he didn’t choose to use her popularity having just been crowned Miss Universe then.

“He really made me feel safe with him. I’ve never felt that he wanted to use who I was or that I’m a public figure. He’s a public figure too, but when you become Miss Universe, a year or two years later, people still regard you as that. It’s kind of that hesitancy of like ‘Does this person like me for me, or do they just want to be associated with me?’ But he always made me feel safe,” she said.
