Beyonce may have concluded the record-breaking sell-out world tour, Renaissance World Tour, in October but the show is still going on.
Although Filipino fans did not get to see Beyoncé grace the Philippines’ concert stages for her recently concluded Renaissance tour, fans may still enjoy the concert in film.
Her much-awaited concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce is coming to Philippine cinemas on 1 December, allowing fans and music enthusiasts to see the phenomenal superstar’s unforgettable performances, stellar visuals and a captivating stage presence that only Beyoncé can deliver.
This is not the first time that the pop star has released concert films and documentaries in the past. In 2019, the singer produced and directed Homecoming, which showcased an “intimate, in-depth look” at her Coachella headliner performance.
According to a report by Live Nation, the 42-year-old singer brought in over $579 million during her five-month-long Renaissance World Tour — which had 56 stops in 39 cities across the world.
Attended by over 2.7 million global fans, the demand was higher than ever as this was Beyoncé’s first solo tour since The Formation World Tour took center stage in 2016.
Together with Taylor Swift, who is currently having her Eras World Tour and has released a concert film, the two pop stars are expected to generate a combined total of $9 billion for the American economy.
For interested moviegoers, tickets for the concert film can now be bought at SM Cinemas, (available in 2D, Director’s Club and IMAX), Ayala Malls Cinemas, Robinsons Movieworld and Vista Cinemas. Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé will run only on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
