Nine-piece Filipino band Ben&Ben introduces a duet version of its single “Autumn” with young actress-singer Belle Mariano, as part of the official soundtrack of ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series Can’t Buy Me Love.
“Autumn” tackles the distance between two people who are struggling to make their relationship work. It was composed by Ben&Ben’s Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin, who also produced the song collaboration alongside ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo and Jean Paul Verona.
The band previously released the original version last November.
Mariano recently released her second album, Somber, which includes several hit singles such as “Bugambilya” and “Somber and Solemn.” The album claimed the top spot of the iTunes Philippines album chart upon its release, while its tracks charted in the top 30 singles chart.
Aside from her music, Mariano became prominent as a talented actress following her successful series He’s Into Her and romcom flicks Love Is Color Blind and An Inconvenient Love. Currently, she stars in Can’t Buy Me Love alongside onscreen partner Donny Pangilinan.
Meanwhile, award-winning folk-pop band Ben&Ben has amassed more than two billion streams on Spotify alone. It has charted on the Spotify Philippines Top 50 with 10 songs simultaneously ranking, and also currently holds the record for most #1s on the platform for OPM, and as the most streamed OPM artist overall.
