Barbie Forteza, David Licauco star in ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ remake

GMA stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are all set for a primetime comeback after the success of Maria Clara at Ibarra, as they play the lead roles in the adaptation of the 1991 hit film Maging Sino Ka Man.

On Monday, 3 July, both talents delighted their fans by giving sneak peeks of their next roles in separate Twitter posts.

Forteza shared a photo from the series’ look test with a quote from her character, Monique. “Soon on GMA Primetime,” she said.

Licauco posted the same photo, captioning it with the title of the series.

Further information, including the identities of other cast members and the anticipated release date of the series, has yet to be announced.

Maging Sino Ka Man is a romantic-comedy-action film in 1991 starring Robin Padilla and Sharon Cuneta. The story revolves around Monique (played by Cuneta), who assumes the identity of Digna after she escapes from home. However, her fabricated persona begins to unravel when she crosses paths with Carding (played by Padilla).

Maging Sino Ka Man is Forteza and Licauco’s most recent project together.

While they had previously worked together in the television series Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune, their popular love team, BarDa, gained popularity following the success of the hit historical fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra, which aired from October 2022 to February 2023. Since then, they have continued to share the spotlight in various series, such as Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko and Heartful Café, as well as in the music video for “The Way You Look At Me.”

Forteza and Licauco are also currently in the process of filming their first movie together, titled That Kind of Love.
