March kicked in with plenty of estrogen, it seems, as various activities around the metro highlight the power and beauty of women.

Among the latest are from Megaworld Lifestyle Malls that proudly declares its unwavering support for Women’s Month with an inclusive celebration that resonates across its participating properties: Alabang West Parade, Eastwood City, Forbes Town Center, Greenhouse At The Village Square Alabang, Iloilo Business Park, Southwoods Mall and Uptown Mall Bonifacio.

A focal point of this Women’s Month celebration is the unveiling of creative installations crafted by exceptionally talented women.

A collaboration with OXFAM Pilipinas presents the artwork Taking Up Space by Jill Arteche, a muralist and visual artist. This captivating piece will be on display at Eastwood City’s Open Park until 8 March.
From 11 to 17 March, Southwoods Mall hosts the artworks of Chennie Tanfelix, a registered medical technologist and painter. Tanfelix’s creations, showcased on a bilao (a traditional bamboo tray used in Filipino cuisine), promise to inspire and captivate visitors.

Over at Forbes Town Park, Selah Viee — also known as Angelica Orquin — will reimagine the giant pet statue installation with a “New Contemporary” approach, and is set to unveil the masterpiece on 15 March.

Meanwhile, Alabang West Parade has invited Yary Young, a skilled tattoo artist, for live tattooing sessions from 15 to 17 March, offering a unique Women’s Month experience for those fascinated and curious about getting inked.

Uptown Mall will be playing host to philanthropic artist Kim Cruz whose therapeutic art pieces will be displayed from 16 to 27 March, celebrating the month for women. ALPAS Art Group, meanwhile, exhibits contemporary artworks focusing on women as the subject from 19 to 26 March at Greenhouse at the Village Square Alabang.

Iloilo will not be outdone as WUTHLE (Women United through Handcrafted Lace & Embroidery) is excited to present a collaborative effort to create lace from cotton at Iloilo Business Park on 16 to 31 March, paying homage to traditional materials.
Engage in a multitude of activities thoughtfully organized at each mall, creating an atmosphere of celebration, unity and enjoyment.
