A new haven for Cebu’s PAL travelers

For holidays, traveling to other destinations is always exciting and fun. However, the wait at airports may be stressful because they are oftentimes noisy especially in the company of kids all raring to go. Moreover, there may be limited seating capacities due to everyone eager for a getaway.

To provide ease, convenience and warm hospitality for its preferred guests, Philippine Airlines recently inaugurated its 114-seater Mabuhay Lounge at the Cebu Mactan International Airport Terminal l. A sanctuary of relaxation and tranquility for passengers while waiting for their flights, the area is exclusively reserved for Business and Comfort Class passengers, Mabuhay Miles Elite, Premier Elite and Million Miler members.

PAL tapped multi-talented designer Adrian T. Chua Architects and Associates, which incorporated a fusion of modern Philippine interiors, showcasing vibrant color tones that include the flag carrier’s signature blue, the warmth of wooden touches and the contemporary feel of sleek furnishings.

The seating area provides comfort with its spacious layout and posh lounging chairs. Meanwhile, the dining space has well-curated table arrangements and a buffet station offering a variety of delectable food and refreshments — including PAL’s signature Arroz Caldo.

Private charging outlets and Wi-Fi connectivity are available for passenger satisfaction. VIP shower rooms as well as segregated male, female and PWD restrooms are equipped with the full range of amenities.

PAL president and chief operating officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng, in his brief welcome remarks, thanked PAL chairman and chief executive officer Dr. Lucio C. Tan, and PAL vice chairman Carmen Tan, for their leadership and support in making this milestone possible.

“The new lounge is part of Philippine Airlines’ strong commitment to building up Mactan-Cebu as our fastest growing hub — the heart of a robust network of PAL flights linking Cebu with 19 domestic and regional destinations. The Lounge is a new haven in our Cebu home,” he declared.
