Once again, allow me to share the delightful and captivating words of raconteur and society ring leader Jorge Hizon — this time about the holiday party that the enduring couple Sonny Tanchanco and John Gaddi hosted in their treasure-filled Magallanes home. I was happy to be seated in the company of Jorge, the legendary Oskar Peralta, the original Filipina international beauty queen Gemma Cruz-Araneta, the foremost fashion model of the 1970s Ping Valencia and the inseparable sweetest pair of the night, Chuchi Serrano Villar and Ricky Agana.

The Christmas extravaganza hosted by Sonny Tanchanco and John Gaddi in their lovely Magallanes home — adorned with a collection of antiquities and art objects acquired through years of worldly travels — was an absolute delight from start to finish.

Guests relished delicious appetizers served by attentive waiters. Florencio dela Torre, a close friend of Sonny and John who just arrived from the US, curated a splendid grazing table with cheeses, ham, salami and succulent grapes, enhancing the culinary experience for everyone. The evening also doubled as a warm welcome party for Florencio.

A live band set the festive tone, serenading the gathering with enchanting Christmas carols. The buffet dinner, meticulously catered by Swan with personal attention from owner Danny Jacinto, showcased an exquisite spread, including the main courses of perfectly prepared roast beef and lechon.

The night resonated with melody as guests, including Nini Licaros, Emmy Florentino Gonzalez, Chuchi Serrano Villar, Lilibeth Campos, Marissa Fenton and fashion designer Mike dela Rosa enthusiastically volunteered for impromptu musical performances.
