On view from 20 January to 17 February is Harmony and Dissonance. The group exhibit weaves the delicate threads of abstract art with the beauty of nature, echoing a historical resonance that has its origins in a millennia of art history — from botanical illustrations to Northern Renaissance paintings and direct embodiments of nature in Earth art.

‘How it rains inside my bedroom’ by Karl Lago (dried palm cuttings and acrylic on wood, 36 by 36 inches, 2024).

Encapsulating the diverse visions of a group of talented artists, including Bea Aspiras, Andre Baldovino, Naomi Banal, Steven Yago Burce, Miro Grgic, Binong Javier, Karl Lago, Rico Lascano, Dominic Mangila, Aaron Virata Mempin, Julieanne Ng, Josep Pascual, Michael Pastorizo, Joel Reglos, Anina Rubio, Aui Suarez, and Sherwin Tan, the exhibit serves as a dialogue between abstract concepts and the intricate patterns found in the flora and fauna surrounding us.

‘Energy’ by Josep Pascual (acrylic on canvas, 60 by 48 inches, 2024).

Each work comprises strokes of brilliance converging with the untamed spirit of nature, examining the influence of our current environmental context on their creative process. Within the realm of these artworks, the intricate expressions of these connections unfold, offering glimpses into the nuanced and varied ways artists articulate their relationship with the natural world.
